My hearing at the very lowest frequencies is almost normal, but scoops down to 120 and beyond very quickly.. I don't think I am getting a hybrid, but they are hoping to preserve the low frequencies. Maybe the hearing aid part isnt for profound because if you had a profound loss then you would need a CI for those frequencies, so a hearing aid for those sections makes sense.
